Terms of Use

The Short Version

Use our products for legitimate business purposes. Don't abuse them, break the law, or harm others. Pay for what you use. We'll provide a reliable service and treat you fairly.

Who's Who

"Polynym", "we", "us": Polynym Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

"You", "your": The person or company using our products.

"Products": PropertyScribe, DailyExtract, BugFeed, StackPod, and any other software we provide.

"Services": Custom software development work we do for clients.

Using Our Products

Account requirements

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account
  • One account per person or company
  • Keep your login details secure
  • You're responsible for all activity on your account

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break any laws
  • Infringe on others' intellectual property
  • Send spam or malicious content
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Overload our systems (rate limits apply)
  • Reverse engineer our products
  • Resell access without permission

Content you create

You own the content you create using our products. Property descriptions you generate with PropertyScribe are yours. Reports from DailyExtract are yours. We don't claim ownership of your work.

You grant us a limited license to store and process your content to provide the service. That's it.

Product-Specific Terms

PropertyScribe

  • AI-generated content should be reviewed before publishing
  • You're responsible for the accuracy of property details you enter
  • Generated descriptions are not legal advice or valuations
  • Usage limits apply based on your plan

DailyExtract

  • You must have authority to connect your Slack workspace
  • We access messages in channels you explicitly connect
  • We don't access private DMs unless you connect them
  • Digests are summaries; refer to Slack for exact wording

BugFeed (Launching 2026)

  • Bug reports you submit are stored on your account
  • You own your reports; we process them to provide the service
  • Screenshots are auto-deleted after 90 days unless saved
  • Usage limits apply based on your plan

StackPod (Coming Soon)

  • CLI tools run locally on your machine
  • Cloud sync features require a Polynym account
  • We don't collect data unless you opt into analytics
  • Open-source components are licensed separately

Payment Terms

Subscriptions

  • Billed monthly or annually, depending on your plan
  • Prices are in GBP unless stated otherwise
  • UK VAT applies where required
  • Cancel anytime; access continues until the end of your billing period
  • No refunds for partial months (but we're reasonable about disputes)

Custom services

  • Fixed price quotes are valid for 30 days
  • 50% deposit required before work begins
  • Balance due on completion
  • Scope changes may affect price and timeline

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we'll try again and email you. After 7 days of failed payments, we may suspend access. We won't delete your data for at least 30 days after suspension.

Our Responsibilities

What we promise

  • We'll keep the service running (target: 99.9% uptime)
  • We'll fix bugs and security issues promptly
  • We'll give 30 days notice before removing features
  • We'll respond to support requests within 2 business days
  • We'll keep your data secure

What we don't promise

  • 100% uptime (maintenance happens)
  • That AI outputs are always accurate (they're not)
  • That our products work with every third-party tool
  • Specific business outcomes from using our products

Intellectual Property

Our IP

We own Polynym, PropertyScribe, DailyExtract, BugFeed, StackPod, and all associated branding, code, and designs. You can't copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.

Your IP

You own your content. For custom services, ownership transfers to you on final payment unless otherwise agreed.

Feedback

If you suggest features or improvements, we can use those ideas without compensation. If that bothers you, don't share them.

Liability

Our liability is limited to:

  • Direct damages only
  • The amount you paid us in the last 12 months
  • Or £1,000, whichever is greater

We're not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Lost profits or business opportunities
  • Data loss beyond our reasonable control
  • Third-party service outages
  • Your misuse of AI-generated content

These limits don't apply to fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence. UK consumer rights are not affected.

Termination

You can leave anytime

Cancel your subscription, delete your account, walk away. No hard feelings. We'll delete your data within 30 days unless legally required to keep it.

We can terminate

We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, don't pay, or abuse the service. We'll give notice when reasonable, but we can act immediately for serious violations.

Disputes

Let's try to sort things out directly first. Email hello@polynym.co.

If we can't resolve it, these terms are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll give 30 days notice via email. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.

The Legal Bits

  • If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • We can assign these terms to another company (e.g., if we're acquired).
  • Not enforcing a term once doesn't mean we waive it forever.
  • These terms are the entire agreement; they replace any previous agreements.
